How can we send a notification to guests at multiple holiday homes?
Our Hinfo service has a built-in Immediate Notifications feature, which allows you to send a notification to all your guests using our mobile app.
There are multiple use cases for this feature including weather warnings or emergency-based situations.
This option will become available, if you have at least 1 guest staying at any of your properties has given permission to receive these types of notifications.
There are two options for sending notifications, the first being to each holiday home individually and the second being to all holiday homes in your group.
Individual Holiday Homes:
To send a notification to a single holiday home, please do the following after logging into your CMS account:
- In the Home tab, under the Switch Holiday Home Accounts heading, select the property you wish to send the notification to from the drop-down list.
- Click on the Notifications button in the navigation side menu, below the Communication & Services heading.
- If available, the Immediate Notifications section will appear first on this screen.
- Please include a Title, Brief Description and Long Description to appear in the notification itself.
- Include any of the following you also want to include in this notification that are accessible from inside the app.
- Phone Number
- Website Address
- Menu URL (e.g. Dinner Menu)
- Guest Service Request.
- When ready to send in real time, click on the Send to All (Property Name) Guests Now button.
All Holiday Homes:
To send a notification to all holiday homes listed in your CMS account, please do the following after logging into your CMS account:
- Click on the Notifications button in the navigation side menu, below the Communication & Services heading.
- If available, the Immediate Notifications section will appear first on this screen.
- Click on the Send Immediate Notifications to All Your Properties button.
- Please include a Title, Brief Description and Long Description to appear in the notification itself.
- Include any of the following you also want to include in this notification that are accessible from inside the app.
- Phone Number
- Website Address
- Menu URL (e.g. Dinner Menu)
- Guest Service Request
- When ready to send in real time, click on the Send To All Guests At All Properties Now button.
NOTE: There is a limit of 1 notification to all guests per day, unless they are emergency/safety related, to reduce the chances of each guest disabling the feature and losing its value.
