Deliver Sensitive Hotel Compendium Details To Your Guests Via Any Device

Hinfo was designed from the very beginning to be an easily accessible guest digital compendium, which is important if you want to shift away from traditional methods and provide them many additional benefits/services.
We have received feedback from properties regarding this issue, when it comes to delivering sensitive details that they want to guarantee only their guests can see.
As part of today's Version 3.0 update to our Hinfo service, are introducing a new feature we call 'Secure Details'.
Secure Details allows properties to hide certain details and lock certain services from being used to guarantee only their guests have access.
Before continuing, all features and locks for services listed on this screen are optional.
Here are a few potential use cases for using our Secure Details feature:
- Providing access code to your apartments on-site gym,
- Provide side gate access code for holiday homes,
- Provide your property Wi-Fi details and
- Lock certain services to reduce/eliminate potential spam (more on this below).
How Do Guests Verify Where They Are
There are two methods you can use to verify if guests are on-site.
Properties can create access passwords to unlock all sensitive details.
This access password can be:
- Either short and numeric or lengthy and alphanumeric with special characters (e.g. 1234 or SecUr3P4$sW0rD),
- Individually set on a per room type basis,
- Applied to Food & Drink Ordering section before submitting an order,
- Applied to Guest Service Requests before submission and
- Applied to our Guest Messaging service before they can send a message to your reception staff.
This password is only required once per device from your guests during their stay and will unlock all other features, to eliminate the need to enter the same password multiple times.
To view your sensitive compendium details, guests can tap on the padlock icon in the top right corner of the Amenities tab and enter the password.
Finding Property via Current Location (Optional)
You can allow guests to skip this process entirely, if they searched for your property via the 'Current Location' button on the initial find property screen.
How To Provide Secure Compendium Details
In every property's Hinfo CMS account, you can provide Secure Details in the Amenities tab, by selecting a room type and scrolling to the bottom of all headings listed.
This section also allows you to set the access password for this room type, for guests to enter to view the details.
To assign the same access password for all of your room types, you need to provide the same password in the same password field for each room type separately.
How To Secure Other Sections of Hinfo
Secure Details can also be applied to the following services.
- Food and Drink Ordering
- Guest Service Requests
- Guest Messaging
By navigating to the Account Details tab of your Hinfo CMS account and clicking on the 'Secure Details' option towards the bottom, you will see multiple options for each of the above to either enable or disable.
This section also allows you to allow password exemption for those searching for your property via current location, since they have to be on the premises for this feature to work.
The 'Secure Details' feature is available today for all properties and is included in the standard cost-effective membership rates.
